Shout out to Janet for recommending me doctors!

Okay guys so my appointment is 4 weeks out ready to get started. My question for you guys out there. Is what can I do now? Supplement wise diet wise that I can get started now towards my goal of healing. Should I be taking anti inflammatories or should I not etc.


I also have not got a confection test done yet. Should I get that done before I see the doctor and if so who do you guys recommend.

I know you guys are busy and its a monday but as usual thanks again for advice and thoughts

Yeah for an appointment!! I called my LLMD prior to my appointment (which I also had to wait 4 weeks) and asked what I should do. The answer I got was "just make sure we have all tests and blood work."

Someone here will chime in and give you better information than I can. I am soooooo new to all of this and still learning.

Maybe start an anti-candida, anti-inflammatory, low carb diet as soon as you can so it's not a shock to your system later on.

Start taking probiotics early.

Cat's Claw and Japanese Knotweed couldn't hurt.

Start tracking your sx daily on spreadsheet. Rate severity on 0 to 5 scale.

Congrats on making the appointment!

The coinfection tests are less reliable than the Lyme tests...and they are even more expensive. I'd defer to your LLMD's best judgement.

Tickbite's recommendations are excellent. I suggest you also start a detox protocol - get some of those bug toxins out of your system now so there will be less to deal with once you start treatment. This site has some good detox ideas:

Don't do any co infection testing. You and your LLND will know if you have any after a few months of treatment. The tests are expensive and that's money much better spent on treatment.

You can go to your first appt with blood work done. CBC (w/pits &autodiff) CBCD and complete metabolic panel (CMP) if the medi-cal dr will order that for you.

The anti inflammatory the doc likes is ultra omega by nordic naturals. It's pricey but on sale through Sept at Sprouts. If inflammation is an issue you can take 6 2 X a day. If you are dealing with muscle pain/headaches/constipation/insomnia magnesium helps.

Almost all of us are gluten free and dairy free. The one dairy that doesn't create inflammation is goat. When I do want something with cheese I use cheeses made from goat's milk. I've found cheddar, mozzarella and others. Trader Joes, Sprouts and other stores sell them in the Bay Area. No Alchohol was written in caps on my paperwork from my first appointment. I've had no issues with candida.
