Hi justin - clarithromycin (biaxin) is from the macrolide class of antibiotics. It is used to treat lyme. Sometimes it is paired with another antibiotic (tetracycline) to treat bart (although from what I've read it's not the most effective treatment for bartonella)

I have never taken hydroxychloroquinine (plaquenil) -but it is sometimes paired with antibiotics to make them more effective. It's also in the class of anti-malarials - so it may be effective against babesia. I have read it is a cyst buster, too.

Biaxin and tindamax work really well together. Adding planquenil should make that an even more effective cocktail.

yea I have been in treatment for over a year and my dr rotates every three months or so. I was just curious what that Clarithromycin was used to target because its one that i have not tried. My llmd follows the ilads guidlines for treatment.
