I realized that I may be putting my family over their heads with the current appointment I have scheduled in two months with an LLMD in NYC.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the same area that could be more affordable?

In addition to getting recommendations from other members, you can also contact ILADS Physician referral:

If you're willing to make the trip, there is a great LLMD in Bridgeport, CT who charges a reasonable rate and usually has
openings MUCH sooner than two months out. I got my initial visit in under a week. There is a train that runs directly from NYC to Bridgeport. Let me know if you are interested.

Unfortunately I don't think there are any "Affordable" LLMDs in the city. Have we emailed? Can you email me?

i am working on it, i am determined to find a Dr on Long Island - there has to be someone!! i just got a name from stonybrook, called, looked her up, aweful reviews. She has been treating lyme patients since the 1990s, but not worth a second of anyone's time. there is another dr who is an infectious disease dr, same thing, bad reviews - even from people on this forum. Although i am determined, i am not sure i will find anyone besides my dr who is just beyond excellent. sarah - i already referred dr M -
