In my experience CBT works only after the infection is taken care of.
Our daughter had many behaviour
issues including ADHD and social regressive tendencies. CBT taught her how to react during certain situations, but frankly she was unable to implement the teaching while her brain was inflamed from her infections. After the infections were dealt with, she no longer needed to apply the teaching because proper reactions came more naturally.
Three things that helped with her significant sleep issues:
- melatonin drops
- at least 300 mg magnesium citrate before bed (and another 300mg through the day)
- turning off the bedroom's electrical circuits at bedtime. Get a flashlight.
We still follow the last 2 suggestions to this day.
This is my new "go to" video that I think everyone needs to watch. Not only does chronic infection cause insomnia, but so can ingestion of pesticides which impact the function of the pineal gland - RoundUp can be bad for this. It's a long one, but hang in there. Everything Prof. Seneff says makes perfect sense to me now that we have come out the other side from lyme/bartonella/babesia infections as well as diagnoses of autism, ADHD and SPD.

Because glyphosate (RoundUp) preferentially kills good probiotic gut bacteria, it supresses proper immune function allowing these infections to get a foothold in the first place.
