Deejavu, thanks for the info. I will add it to the list of all the things I've learned so far. Too many things to do at once. in addition, life is very difficult right now and I'm treading water on the Lyme. I wasn't being critical about the links, just wanted you to know for future reference.
Georgia Hunter, I find all that interesting. Previously, I was using the guaifenisen protocol. Eventually it plateaued and I got no improvement. I think now that it was most likely that the improvement was because I was allergic to salicylates and/or the perfumes/preservatives/etc.
So the theory behind the Guai protocol is that the body has trouble getting rid of phosphates and guai plugs into the same receptors in the kidneys that aspirin (salicylates) and allows the body to expel excess phosphates through the kidneys.
Sounds pretty familiar to what you are saying. More things to investigate. Also would explain why I eat virtually no foods that contain oxalates but have terrible kidney stones.
Thanks all,
I appreciate that you took the time to pass on the info.
Have a good day,
Kim
I am not familiar with any of the protocols, I just studied the physiology of the kidneys and hypothesized on what could be going wrong. Then I ate and drank a certain way to see if I got results. I did.
