Hello,
I recently had my follow-up appt with my new LLMD (who I'm liking very much) to discuss test results. He explained everything quite scientifically during the visit, but I left there completely confused, wishing I could have recorded the entire visit. Since then, I've been trying to research and analyze these results so that I can better assess my condition and adjust my diet, etc.
Basically he said that I am "borderline" for Hashimoto's (TPO 34, T-3 2.3, T-4 1.04, Melanocyte MSH <8, low vitamin D). I am Hypothyroid at the least. I don't understand the HLA results with all of the letters and numbers and no ranges indicated. He did give me another sheet that states "DRB1 Multisusceptible- 4" ? I believe he referred to Mold susceptibility on that.
Anyway, he was going to prescribe a Thyroid medication but I asked him for something natural as I am one that avoids taking prescript
ion meds unless absolutely necessary. He recommended Thryrodex which I haven't ordered yet. He also started me on Selenium. I am currently on another round of Doxy that I began 3 weeks ago after my first visit. I am also taking Homeopathic Nosodes (Babesia-Borrelia/every 3 days under tongue) as well as Cholestryamine (CSM) -only 1 tblsp/day which he upped that to 2 tblsp/day on this last visit. I understand that is a very light dose. I also bought some Kelp (on my own) but I know I must be careful not to overdo the Iodine.
He highly recommends starting LDI (Low Dose Immunotherapy) injections for Bartonella/Babesia. This is a new approach for me as were the nosodes. It makes a lot of sense, but I would love to hear of other's experience with these injections. I'm a little nervous about
it.
My current symptoms are not debilitating, but do include heart palpitations, TMJ, off-balance at times, intermittent "Lymey" pains. My eyes, skin, hair, nails and weight are ok - not able to lose any weight, but I'm not terribly overweight. I am in my late 50's, female.
I know that you can't give any medical advice, but perhaps you've had similar experience that you can share with me?
As always,
Thank you!
