I was out in the sun this past week and started developing blisters on the skin that was uncovered. My face is mostly just itchy with the kind of swollen feeling you get when you have an allergic reaction.
I'm wondering now what can be done about
this. I expect that it's the Lyme reacting to the heated skin but now that I'm out of the sun, I'm still getting blisters.
I've taken liquid Benadryl and it relieves the itching some. Normally, at this stage I would go see my doctor and get prednisone to stop the reaction.
Any ideas what I can do to stop the reaction without prednisone? I have not started treatment yet, so there is no interference there. I know that if I take the prednisone, I will be out of commission for some number of days and I can't really afford that over the next few weeks.

Reading past post about
sunburn skin and lyme, it seems that this is just another one of those symptoms of lyme disease that some get and some don't.
Sorry.
Those that have had it will come and help ya out. Hang in there.

Your not on Doxy are you?
That causes skin reactions when exposed to the sun. Not all LLMDs tell patients this.
