The abx definitely have the potential to make you feel worse. It's all about
the toxins that are created when the bugs die.
If the body can't clear the toxins at the same rate they're created, the toxins can be absorbed by our tissues which will exacerbate symptoms....or even cause new ones.
Improvements happen at very different rates for everyone. It all depends on our infection load, our body's ability to detox and countless other factors.
Still, 6-8 wks. seems unrealistic.
Lyme can cause non-specific white matter on MRI's. There's a school of thought that believes MS is triggered by infections....
There are many stories of success on here and on the internet. Everyone's journey is somewhat different but we all have the chance of healing. It does take time, though.....a lot of time.
And, no, you don't have to herx to have Lyme. Again, it all comes back to the body's ability to effectively detox. Many of us have trouble in that area so starting a detoxing protocol and continually adding to it will only benefit you.
