Can Samento & Banderol be taken for early Lyme disease?
My daughter was bit by a tick at the end of June (4 months ago). The tick was not enlarged and was flat as paper. It came off easy and was probably caught within hours of attaching. We watched the area where the bite was and no rash developed. We watched for symptoms and none started. Until two months later my daughter started to feel unwell with stomach pains, dizziness(off balance lightheaded), pale and very tired. This began end of August/beginning of Sept. She saw her doctor in Sept and had blood tests, all normal, had more blood tests all normal, did a lyme disease test which was negative. Then she started having chest pains mid Sept I think and doctor ordered a ECG which was normal and a chest xray which came back that she has an enlarged heart valve. We have been referred to a pediatric cardiologist which we see on Nov 18. She has chest pains, burning sensation near end of rib cage/top of belly, shortness of breath at times, tingling in hands/fingers, hand tremble at times and the last few days she has had episodes where it hurt when she inhaled. I took her into the hospital yesterday to the children's pediatric centre because of all this and I didn't want to wait until our appointment on the 18th. They listen to us with what was going on, listen to her heart and asked a bunch of questions. The first doctor who came in, was resident, was a suspicious about
the tick bite and was going to talk to his attendee which was the doctor working yesterday. She came in and said she is ordering her a holter monitor she will wear for 3 days. She said everything looks and sounds ok for us not to worry.. if she was worried should whould put her in the hospital and do a bunch of tests. But it wasn't needed. I asked what about
the tick bite? She said if it is Lyme related it will show with the holter monitor that her heart is being affected.
Anyways, we will be doing the holter monitor any day now once they call and our appointment with the pediatric cardiologist is in two weeks.
I'm worried about
the tick bite in June. She has always been a healthy girl. She is 11 by the way. Since I'm not getting ANYWHERE with treating for Lyme Disease, I thinking about
starting her on Samento and Banderol. I'm nervous to do so as I'm not a doctor and I do not want to experiment on my daughter. What should I do? Can you treat early Lyme Disease with Samento & Banderol? Whould it be the same thing as treating with Doxyciline? Would she need a probiotic? Is the one I take all she needs or is there certain ones kids need to take? I don't want to hurt her by putting her on these herbal antibiotics. I don't know if this is Lyme related. What if it is a heart problem/something else not related to Lyme and the Samento & Banderol hurt her? Or lower her blood pressure? I don't know but I'm nervous to put things into her without a doctor helping. Input please. :(
She has an enlarged heart valve and that can cause the dizziness and chest pains etc. We haven't talked to the specialist yet (Nov 18) and don't know what is going on... I'm worried it will all come back fine and it is Lyme Disease causing her symptoms. I'm worried Lyme is the cause of all this.. but I don't want to jump the gun as it could be unrelated and an enlarged heart valve that is biegne and treatable.
If it was Lyme disease could I wait another two weeks to have the holter monitor done and we see the pediatric cardiologist and then we will have more answers then and I'll know more with what were working with?
