Thanks Traveler for the bump.
LB, thanks but I did that and got no takers.
Right now they have "allowed" me to make an appointment with one of the Pain Management docs in the practice (wouldn't want to lose a patient who might lead to lots of expensive tests). They have me down as a new patient even though I have already seen this doctor.
My Rheum sent me to her after he joined the practice. She did all these tests and they came back normal. She said "that means you have Fibromyalgia, big sigh." So I know she hates the diagnosis. Interestingly she is the only now who picked up on it being systemic. At least the only doctor. Anyone with half a brain can tell from the symptom list that it's systemic. Can you tell I'm a bit weary of anyone with an MD?
So for now she will at least sign my pain med scripts. Don't know what she will do when it comes time to sign all the meds that are out of her bailiwick but maybe it will force them to assign me to a Rheum.
Problem is that in the last couple of years they have bought up every Orthopedic group, every pain med group and every Rheumatology group in the center of the state.
I'll figure it out. At least I good until the middle of January. I'm just going to have to do the Lyme part on my own. Thank heaven there is so much knowledge in the group.
Thanks,
Have a good Thanksgiving,
Kim
