Ozone Therapy - Cure for lyme? (Saunas, Major Auto-Hemotherapy, ear/rectal insufflation, etc.)

First off, many many thanks to HealingWell for building this site. I am the brother of a 10+ year lymie, I've seen what this monster can do and it is the most horrific, mentally/physically torturous nightmare on the planet, considering all of you with lyme look normal and nobody understands lyme and the disease gets zero support from family, friends, and pretty much everyone. Nasty.

Now let's get down to business.

It seems we have a user on HealingWell who as uncovered the cure for chronic lyme disease. Here are the last two posts ever made by "Otter7", who appears to be the John Connor of Chronic Lyme:

I am answering an old post, but thought it might help someone new. From my long experience with Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia, Mycoplasm and other tag along infections, ozone is the most important component to getting well. But you need to do it consistently and potentially for a long period of time. If you have been infected for years, you will need to do ozone intravenously at a doctor's office as well as well doing it at home via insufflation (do your own research). If you combine this with using a rife machine, detoxing with a sauna, eating right, taking supplements YOU CAN GET WELL. If you can afford to buy a home hyperbaric chamber with an oxygenator, buy one. Go in it everyday for an hour. Do ozone in some form everyday (there are nearly 20 different ways to get it into your body). Use your rife machine one a week or so. Take your supplements dailey.

My entire family is getting well now after years of floundering around. My husband nearly died in the process. We now own:
- Hyberbaric chamber
- Ozone machine
- Good sauna
- Doug Coil rife machine
-2nd rife machine with plasma bulb
And we get treated at the doctors twice a week.

I am about 90% better--- am expecting to do treatments for another year to be 100%

I have done major autohemotherapy as well as just about every kind of ozone therapy. Consistency is what matter. I repeat, consistency is what matters. Because autohemotherapy draws blood out, a bigger needle needs to be used than is used when doing direct IV ozone -- which is putting ozone directly into your veins (not mixed into your blood first). This means that you can't do autohemotherapy more than once or twice a week because your veins won't handle being punctured with the bigger needle more than that. So if you have Bartonella for instance, doing autohemotherapy ozone once or twice a week is NOT going to get rid of it because it simply grows back too fast.

From my experience, to treat Lyme and any of the co-infections -- assuming you have had them for years--, you need to being doing direct IV ozone a minimum of 3 times a week (a tiny butterfly needle is used, so your veins can handle it)--- at least for the first 3 to 4 months-- then you can cut back to twice a week if you can't manage 3. I also recommend buying a good ozone machine for home use (preferable a plasma machiine-- the ozone produced by cold corona machines seems harsher to me--- the cost will be $2000 -$4000--- do not buy a cheap machine.) At home you can do rectal insufflation on the days that you don't do direct IV ozone--- buy siliconized rubber catheters that you can fill from needle nose syringes that will attach to the ozone machine (Some websites will tell you to hook the catheter from your butt directly to the ozone machine--- I would never do this--- you could blow a hole in your colon!) -- you can put about 1000ml in you at a time--- its not that gross I promise.

You also can use a thing that looks like a stethoscopic to insufflate your ears. You can also ozonate water and drink it (best to do on an empty stomach as soon as you wake up).

What state do you live in? Ozone is legal in some-- like New York which is where I live.

Let me know if you have any other questions. If you plan on doing ozone only a few times, don't bother. The ozone strength should be between 50-55 and administered by a professional. Also you start out slow--- 20 ccs and work up to 100 to 120 ccs. My entire family including my 15 year old daughter have been doing direct IV ozone for a long time. We are all much much much better. But you still have to do the things I mentioned in my earlier post--- detox, use a sauna and a rife machine particularly on days when you can't do ozone.

My bro's major symptoms are extreme fatigue and extreme brain fog.

He has been through the usual routine, antibiotics for months, herxing bad, nothing working.

I came across a type of treatment called Ozone Therapy which basically invloves getting Ozone into the blood/body/brain/organs so it can kill lyme and also help detox out the toxins. Please look up "lyme disease Ozone" on YouTube for some interesting testimonials on how it worked for some people.

It looks super promising. I believe one can set up a basic Ozone sauna right at home for relatively cheap (2-3k?). People have said the ear insufflations have worked wonders on brain fog by basically shooting some Ozone air into the ears for a few minutes 1-3 times a week. The ear leads to the brain. One can buy an ear insufflation kit for relatively cheap as well. You can also have a certified ozone doctor do Major Auto-Hemotherapy where they take out some of your blood, inject in some Ozone, then put it back in. Or you could do a rectal insufflation where you just put Ozone in a bag, attach to a catheter, and inject the Ozone air into rectum which is said to be 95% as effective as the Major Auto-Hemotherapy.

Has anyone here successfully or unsuccessfully used any kind of ozone treatment to heal/improve your chronic lyme disease?

Hey Girlie, thanks for the reply!

My brother Chris has been to at least one lyme literate Dr. The last one just gave him a protocol involving strong antibiotics and wanted him to basically take them for a long time and buy them off the internet since docs cant legally precribe them over 3 months (I think?).

All that happened was his gut could not handle them after a few weeks (nausea, severe cramping/pains) and so he had to stop. Chris's gut is the weak link right now. It is in very very bad shape. He is getting nausea, stomach cramps almost every day and he's not even on antibiotics.

There was an event over 10 years ago when he had his wisdom teeth out and the doc really overloaded him up with antibiotics. After that he was nauseus every morning for about a year, it did some major damage to his gut. I believe this was around the time the lyme may have started, of maybe it was a few years later.

I tried to get him juicing vegetables again just yesterday and it just made him feel wierd and bad. There was a one week stretch a few years ago where he juiced every day for a week and had never juiced before and felt better than he had in months, but then he went right back to feeling bad and juicing hasn't worked since.

I have put him on colloidal silver, antibiotic herbs, Carnavora, Rife, etc. but all they have done is cause extreme herxes. And he wants to keep his job, but can't function when he tries even super low doses of anything because of herxes, so he is trapped right now.

I do like the idea of an ND, I'm looking for one now

I'm sorry I can't provide any info regarding Ozone treatment, but I just wanted to note, after reading this thread, that I didn't hear any mention of your brother taking Probiotics. Is he taking a broad spectrum of probiotics? It's essential, especially while taking an antibiotic to replenish the good bacteria or flora in the gut that is being killed by the antibiotics. They should be taken at least 2 hours before or after the antibiotic so as not to lessen the effects of either one.

He's very lucky to have a caring brother like you! I think that good support is half the battle!

Project, thanks much for your post. Super valuable information in there. I'm very confused as to whether or not the herxes are necessary because I've seen some people say they are necessary and others like Dr. David Jernigan who says authoritatively that not only is bad herxing not necessary, bad herxing actually causes more damage and makes the problem worse.

He says you should be able to cure lyme with little to no herx at all and that bad herx reactions are simply the result of poor treatment. That being said, Dr. David Jernigan may very well be full of crap and pushing his own BS supplements.

Anyway, I'm learning more about supplements to decrease herx reactions and am very curious if you have tried any of these and did they work:

Curcumin
Quercetin
Ecklonia cava
Alpha lipoic acid
N-acetyl cystiene
Glutathione (user LoveHealth in one Ozone thread had great success reducing herxes with a Glutathione/magnesium IV coupled with Ozone)
Dandelion Root

My bro hasn't tried any of them and is super hesitant to try anything because anything he tries seems to hurt him more lately. But I'm gonna keep pushing.

Anyway, the Otter7 post mentions Rife as a key ingredient along with the Ozone, and if this guy cured he and his family to 90% that says lot for Rife so looks like you are using a super effective treatment. I think I remember reading one post about someone getting way better off Rife and Colloidal Silver one time too.

Please keep posted on your progress, much appreciated and I hope you pulverize this beast lyme

Project, very very informative and great post with actionable info, much appreciated. I will be getting my brother on the antiherx supplements you mentioned, great to hear they maybe helped for you. The sauna is very interesting, the science behind it of sweating out toxins and speeding up the toxin removal makes sense. My brother has has some mixed results with saunas, again he's really sensitive to literally EVERYTHING and even a sauna or Epsom salt bath has caused/intensified herx type reactions. We will take it slow and gradually build with everything. I don't see how a 5 minute sauna to start could really hurt him.

Your logic and thinking about how the organs can only detox so much at a given time makes perfect sense, duly noted.

Herxing??? How can you discern a Herx reaction to ozone (or other treatment) from a normal crashes one gets from Lyme and Babesia??

Hello Lymies Brother, You certainly have gotten some very good responses here. Like your
brother, I had a problem with antibiotics and wasn't able to take them. Later, about 7 years ago
I bought a Rife machine and am still using it.
I also did other treatments, including herbs and nutrition. I've been working with a
Lyme literate doctor. Also, I did use an ozone sauna which helped me clear up a bad
bronchitis. I have read that some people feel it kills the Lyme spirochetes and others do
not. I did feel better after using it and feel that it boosts the immune system.
I totally agree with what project had to say. I don't herx a lot, but it is a part of getting
better. Some people may say they're cured with ozone. I feel that's great
At the same time, it's worth knowing, that a chronic case can get better for a time and
then reappear. Not to rain on anyone's parade. It's good to work with a Lyme doctor
if you can find a good one. Or an ND who knows who to treat it. Not just the
conventional 3 months of antibiotics treatment, but a more in depth, long term plan.

I know you aren't new to Lyme, but you are new to this forum.
It's got a lot of good information. You might find something of interest in there.

For me - sometimes it's not easy to discern if it's a herx or a flare because I have flares daily. They usually hit me late afternoon or early evening.
My herxes are a ramp up in symptoms that usually hit me at any time of the day and usually last many hours - sometimes for several days. Sometimes I will get new symptoms, as well.

Mpostelnicu, true inhaling Ozone is bad, which is why the Ozone treatments never involve inhaling it. It's either full body sauna with the head sticking out of tent, the major Auto-Hemotherapy where the blood is taken out, injected with Ozone and then put back in, or the ear or rectal insufflations where it is blown into ear or rectum.

Sickgeorge - Welcome aboard, you sound like your in a very similar state to my brother. You've tried so many things, you are exhausted, you've had it with this insane disease. I don't blame you, it really does seem incredibly frustrating and brutal.

about the herxes, I am really pissed that I haven't had my brother EVER try things like curcumin, quercetin, ecklonia cava, alpha lipoic acid, n-acetyl cystiene, glutathione to help reduce herxes. A user above verified the are helpful, and my brother in 10+ years of this has not even tried them.

The problem is his body is super super sensitive to anything at this point, and he doesn't want to risk taking something and feeling utterly horrid for a week before returning to "baseline s**tty" as he calls it.

LoveHealth has said the IV Glutathione/magnesium injections once a week coupled with the IV Ozone Auto-Hemotherapy injections every 3 weeks has helped to both improve and treat the treat the lyme while minimizing herxes. This type of philosophy looks promising.

But I believe one can heal themselves of lyme with just the Ozone sauna and ear insufflations, just it will take longer. And I have now read at least 5 cases of people doing just that on this and other message boards.

I ordered an Ozone generator thing for water and air on amazon and will start my brother on just Ozonated water at first to take it REAL slow to try and prevent any herx and see what it does. I will update everyone. I will be doing all this Ozone stuff as well as someone without lyme to see what it does to me. I will keep everyone posted and keep a detailed journal.
