why vertigo?

I'm wondering why we get vertigo. It doesn't seem to be the typical explanation of water in the inner ear.. cause why would lyme do that? I'm talking about can't close your eyes, can't move your eyes, cause the world is like distortion mirrors all pulsing and spinning, nausea.

It's not true Vertigo. I had that pre Lyme and that's very different. With Vertigo you can be sitting still and the room starts to spin around you. It's similar to being on a spin ride at an amusement park except you are not moving, everything else is spinning around you.

I know what you are referring to marigold. I experience it too. I believe from my reading in the past that it's caused from inflammation that puts pressure on our ears, eyes and brain.
Have you done any Babs treatment? That's seemed to help.

That makes sense to me. It seems a bit like a higher degree of a symptom I have almost all the time, the inflammation and nausea. But I've had bouts lately that last 24-48 where things are so spinning I can't stand up or really move my eyes without extreme discomfort and lots of throwing up. Makes sense it's not true vertigo but something else that produces a similar sensation. I've also wondered if it relates to my other eye symptoms (blurry vision, loss of peripheral vision..)

Marigold are you taking anything to reduce inflammation? My LLND has me taking a high dose of a specific brand of Omega 3. I take Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega 6-7 capsules 2X a day. It's helped. A few others on here have posted that they are doing the same. It's pricey stuff. The best price I've found is at Totalprowellness.com.

It sounds like you might have swelling that is pressing nerves in or near both your eyes and your ears. You could try ice packs wrapped in hand towels across your brow and behind your neck. I'm so sorry you are suffering.

Janet, Thanks so much for these ideas. I'll look into the Omega 3. I guess I'm not doing anything specific to reduce inflammation.. Except I guess eating alkaline and trying to detox which it seems my body has trouble doing.. But yeah I think inflammation is probably the main issue behind most of my symptoms. The ice packs sound like a good idea for the acute episodes.

Also Japanese knotweed is good for brain inflammation.

Does tinnitus and blood sugar have anything to do with this...does antivert help? Please this the most annoying symptom help?
