LOL! Yep, adrenals are real drama queens! I too will be so glad when they 'unwind'.
Yes, Lyme, Bart, Babs, RMSF and others are all under good control - 1 year after healing from them, I was under so much stress (family stuff/care giving) that my adrenals crashed and took my thyroid with it. Misery loves company???
Anyway, I was reinfected with Lyme a few months after that, but I went back on my Lyme treatment and healed quickly and well again. Now I take astragalus to prevent another infection and it's worked well for 1 year at this point.
Candida is a tough one for some people. We have a lot of really good threads on here talking about it. Be sure to use our search function and use search terms including Pirouette and Chapelle - like this:
Lyme, Chapelle, Candida
or
Lyme, Pirouette, Candida
If your digestion is so messed up that you aren't absorbing the nutrients you need to heal, then I would say that the nutritional IV's are good - otherwise, I'm not so sure, especially if you factor in the risks with IV usage.
And yes, they have the potential to cause a herx, as you are ramping up the immune function, but that won't happen immediately like the 2 hours later and you were having issues. I would think it would take longer than that, more like 12 - 24 hours, as those nutrients have to have time to not only metabolize, but increase the immune function - but I'm not a doctor either. That's the only way I know that a nutritional IV could create a herx.
