Best metal test (with metal fillings?)

I asked about a "best metal test" last month, and someone asked If I still had metal fillings in any teeth. I didnt think about that before.

So this post is an updated question. And theres always different eyes reading here.

One Dr wanted me to take Metagenics "Metalo clear" (bad spelling) prior to a saliva test kit for more accuracy bringing out lodged metals. But that might not be good if it pulls mercury out of my 1980's fillings- Not something I want to happen.

Any metal gurus out there? (but not the headbanging type)

I imagine theres a metal forum somewhere beyond H.Well- I have not looked.

Did someone mention doctors data? They are really expensive but give you an extremely extensive list of tested metals. I did my test with metal fillings they just side noted type of metal that was all.

I did a basic metal saliva from Genova Labs last year, with out taking anything that would "pull" the metals out. I only had trace amounts of a couple. I mean very little trace amounts.

But, Dr thought of re-doing same test now after taking suppls that pull the metals out (for a week?)for more accuracy.

I'm thinking its safer to just get the best metal test (better than saliva?) and not dislodge whats in me (fillings with mercury).

I would still say Doctors Data Hair (Metal & Mineral) test. It would also give you a good baseline if you decide to get the fillings out.

When people monitor the metals through hair tests they often notice a spike in the metals when they are undergoing chelation or possibly addressing your methylation defects because it opens up the pathways. The hair is showing what your body is eliminating. So if it shows nothing, it does not mean you have no mercury, just that your body is holding on to it. That is my understanding.

I have an amalgam filling, and my LLND had me do the Doctor's Data urine test provoked with DMSA and EDTA. I had a reaction to them, but I got the test done. And I did feel worse after the test. I just got chlorella vulgaris from Biopure and have been taking that.

My suggestion would be to make sure you have chlorella on hand to start taking immediately after you're done with the test.

I think the reaction I had was more a hypersensitivity reaction or side effect from the provoking agents, since I tend to be sensitive to things.

I guess I should ask, is chelation and provoking with agents when refering to metals in the body the same thing as when I say "dislodging with suppliments".?

I've had old fillings removed for molar caps, Dentist did nothing special, I felt no different after words, but it still freaks me out to get old metal moving around my body just to do a more accurate metal test.

I mean if its not moving around, less harm done right?

Dr wants to re-check metals since I still have muscle stiffness- less, but still there.

Yup I did a doctors data urine test too

Never did chelation. I used some other methods to get rid of metals although I didn't have a ton to begin with which was nice.
