Sida Acuta causing herx?

Curious if anyone else had a worsening of symptoms from taking Sida? I started it about a week ago and a few days in my chest pain got much worse and it was constant for 2 days so I backed down the dosage to 50% of original. It's moderated a bit so I have to imagine its from the Sida.

Anyone else had an obvious reaction to Sida? Thanks.

the increased chest pressure i assume to be more bugs dying off and its too much for me to cope so i had to back down for now.

i'm not taking any herbs aside from crypto, sida and artimisiae-2 so as you can see from below i'm already taking 3 of the 10 things buhner recommends in his updated book. i'm going to add the rest after talking to my LLMD tomorrow unless he has some major reason why i shouldn't be doing it. i figured it can't hurt if i ramp up slowly.

Cryptolepis sanguinolenta tincture, ½ tsp 3x daily
Bidens pilosa tincture, ½ tsp 3x daily
Artemisinin (or artesunate or artemisone), 100–200 mg 3x daily
Sida acuta tincture, ¼ tsp 3x daily
Salvia miltiorrhiza, ½ tsp 3x daily
Milk thistle seed, standardized (to 80% silymarin) capsules, 600–1,200 mg 3x daily
L-arginine, 2,000 mg 3x daily
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), ½ tsp 3x daily
Riboflavin (B2), 30–40 mg 3x daily
Combine Panax ginseng, licorice, Schisandra chinensis (equal parts of each), ½ tsp 3x daily.

girlie funny but i've never had to start slow i always went with what the LLMD said. for example crypto was 30 drops 3x/day no issues. sida acuta i was doing 25 drops 3x/day and then backed down to 15 drops 3x/day. i might have to drop further.

the latest chest thing is constant it never waxes or wanes just constant. is a herx supposed to be consistent like that across multiple days?

I agree with Girlie - it sounds like you are herxing.

There are many stories on here about people dealing with very long-lasting herxes...and we're talking a few weeks.

Unfortunately, there are some people who herx for over a month and have to stop treatment.

It sounds like the sida is hitting something that the other stuff didn't touch. That's how it goes and why I'm happy you've decided to try Buhner's full Babesia protocol.

Please start low and go slow....one herb at a time. It's your only hope of gauging reaction....and preventing a massive herx.

Some of the herxes I had on Buhner's herbs were more intense than those I had on abx.

I started Buhner's herbs almost a year after I first started consistent treatment (which started 8 wks. after the tick bite).

I only got up to full doses of Buhner's Babs and Bart herbs 4.5 months after starting. I was "stuck" at 8 drops each for what seemed like forever. Previous attempts at increasing resulted in herxing that impacted my life too much.

Then, I was suddenly able to increase from 8 drops to 1/4-1/2 tsp TID over the course of 2 wks. and without incident. Go figure.

Our herxes very much depend on what's being hit....and our ability to detox.
