Mito food plan is actually in my opinion very good. I have printed out all the documents for the mito food plan and read through everything. It's essentially a mild ketogenic diet but allows you to be more strict ketosis as well.
I can pretty much say I have been following it and it really helps. It is similar to the bulletproof diet but I believe the bulletproof diet is actually another step up from this diet although there are many similarities.
Being in Ketosis is very beneficial for this illness and helps starve the bugs, boost the immune system, and starve candida. I believe it's helping... But a good tip for you, be very generous with the amount of fat you use on this diet to help eliminate your hunger! The fat staples that should be used as often as possible are organic ghee made from the butter of grass fed cows, coconut oils, MCT oils, and avocado oils. For example I put generous amounts of avacado oil on my lightly steamed broccoli and cauliflower and it tastes delicious! For cooking only use coconut oils and the ghee as they are heat stable.
All gluten, other dairy (besides butter of grass fed cows) are eliminated. It definitely helps! I believe everyone on this forum, and really anyone with a chronic disease should look into this diet.
