IGeneX and Bartonella

Could the bands on my lyme test hint at bartonella at all? My symptoms seem to be mostly correlated to bart.

IgM:
41 IND
58 +

IgG:
18 +
31 ++
34 IND
41 ++


I'm also wondering if IGeneX can do a bart specific test with the blood they already have.

A western blot can't tell you anything about bartonella, it's a separate test.

As Sarah stated, the Bartonella test is separate.

I believe Igenex keeps the blood samples for a few weeks...if you call them...(or maybe the Dr. on the lab req has to call them) - they may be able to do the test.
I would call right away and ask.

Having said that, don't be surprised if the bartonlla test comes back negative...the testing for the co-infections are even more unreliable/inaccurate.

I believe they keep your blood for 2-3 months. Your doctor just needs to fax in the IGeneX order form as an add-on test. You can call IGeneX to make sure there's nothing else they need you to do.
