Hi there,

I moved from Az (44yrs) to CT about 1.5 years. The past 6 months I've been struggling with many symptoms associated to Lyme. I tested equivocal on a lyme test earlier last year, and in December on the wb band 23 igm came back reactive. So I sought out looking for a LLMD in my area. I was referred to a few that had about a 6 week wait time. I found one in my home town As that saw're within a week. He did the Igenex testing & waiting for results. He also did an MRI with the neuroquant software. My results came back positive 50%, or 5/10 signs of neuro lyme. My Dr said he is highly suggestive that I have it, but he said the blood test will confirm. Are any of you familiar with the neuroquant testing?

Sorry, have not heard of the neuroquant testing.

The fact that you had band 23 come back reactive is significant. It is specific for Lyme Disease.


I'm glad you are seeing a LLMD.

Thanks. Yes, anxious to start treatment & hopefully feel normal. Has anyone had a problem with Epstein barr with lyme. I've pretty feeling like slight flu all week, and part of my boss results came back positive for that.

I made a post about neuroquant a couple months ago. Just about what it was- the software ect used. Sounded cool.

I dont know much about the results they give the Dr.

I thought it was about comparing the volumes of certain brain parts , normal volume vs volume of whatever disease they are looking for.

They do this for several illnesses and mold aka "mold brain" (lyme brains first cousin).

For anyone wondering......you get an insurance covered brain mri run at specs that Neroquant needs. Dr send them the MRI CD.

The Neroquant service is $100. If your MRI is not insurance covered, then thats out of your pocket (better to not to go to an LLMD, as insurance hates them).

Yes, my results came back 3/10 or 30% mold & 5/10 or 50% Lyme.

Did Nueroquant provide a results page, or did they just relie on your Dr to decipher the provided data and come up with those numbers/results that you posted?

It provided some sort of results page, and then he had a formula that he used. Looking at certain parts of the brain & the numbers provided by the neuro quant....i believe. I'll have to ask him. I do have a results page with the pictures, and then he checked off certain numbers provided. One for mold, and one for lyme.

A quick scan indicates if looks for brain shrinkage by comparing your MRI results with know "healthy" people your same age.

I'll bet I can get it done and paid for with symptoms like word loss, finding myself in places and not knowing how I got there ...

As far as EBV goes, many people do test positive for it. The fatigue can be the result of EBV or Lyme&Co. But recently my dr ran the EBV along with other things and it lit up like a christmas tree but my fatigue is really no different.

Yeah, my neuroquant results also included Alzheimer's, which showed normal, thankfully. I'm not sure how they do the formula for Lyme & Mold. I'm anxiously waiting for my Igenex testing to add to the confirmation of the Lyme dx. I'll have to check out the link. Thanks for sharing it.
