I have lately been experiencing bouts of feeling very angry for no apparent reason. Is this something typical? I do not like it and feel like isolating myself.

OPcounselor - Rage is definitely one of the symptoms of Lyme and/or co-s ...sorry but I can't remember if it's Lyme...or a particular co-infection.
How is your treatment going otherwise? Are you doing enough to detox?

One thing that works for some people is Jernigan's Neuro-Antitox II CNS/PNS. It doesn't work for everyone but for those that it helps it's a godsend. My son is taking it and his rages have disappeared, unless we forget too many times in a row. Other find no benefit.
In Buhner's new book he recommends Uncaria Rhyncyphylla (increase tincture dosage up to 1 tsp 6 times a day) which is one of the varieties of Cat's Claw; cryptolepis sanguinolenta tincture (1/2 tsp 3 to 6 times daily; and tryptophan (1000 to 1500mg 3 times daily).
On the Tryptophan, Traveler recommends the Lidtke brand. There are sources out there who are not reputable but these guys are. If you go to their site there is lots of information about
it. You can also buy most of their products on amazon, just make sure it is coming from them and not a third party. I find Amazon cheaper but only because shipping ends up being free. The prices on both sites are the same.
Hope you have a better day.

Hi and yes it's a lyme thing. You've got lots of good advice for what to do, just wanted to validate one more time that this is real and coming from the toxins. I did a lot of praying about
this when I was in my first 6 months of treatment, just for help in keeping my mouth shut but yeah, some ugly, ugly thoughts and reactions can arise. You aren't alone.

Thank you all for the info. I'm detoxing well. No gluten dairy and doing well with supplements.

Bartonella neuro symptoms can include rage, panic attacks, agitation. Have you been treated/tested for this co-infection?

I haven't been tested for the co-infections. I have been prescribed antibiotics for different co-infections. My doctor's office had called today and informed me to stop all antibiotics for 10 days and then get a strep tither blood test.

I love Kava tea. If I am in a position where I can't do the tea, I do the tincture. Warning, it will numb your throat!!! I only use it when I am really down. It just takes the edge off, it is not very powerful. However, it can cause you a yellowing of your skin with prolonged usage.
I also love Bach's Rescue Remedy. It too is a subtle-take-the-edge-off of the situation flower essence.
Kava is very inexpensive but Bach's is better for long term usage.

My son had SERIOUS rage at 15....
I now believe it's mostly the Bartonella which is very hard to resolve. He was neg, in blood work for it, but our LLMD diag. it clinically last Feb.
He detoxes, Pinella Brain nerve cleanse (Nutramedix), Tri Fortify Orange, Alka Seltzer Gold with lemon...
It' s a LONG process... but anger and rage for no reason are very common

Few people are tested for the co-infections as the tests are not reliable. Most people are diagnosed clinically (by symptoms).
Like Lovemychildren Mom I am using Pinells Brain Nerve Cleanse, but I have added Parsley and Burbur. That seems to be a common trio. But my rages are not so severe. His rages usually trigger mine so with his toned down, mine don't appear that often. I didn't want to experiment with him, but for me that is ok.
