Hi Everyone!

Okay so I have been treating for almost 8 months. I have recently been getting burning skin...it doesn't look really dry but feels so tight and dry. I put coconut oil and lotion on like 3 to 4 times a day. The skin around my outter eyelid is becoming red and my eyes are dry along with my mouth. Does anyone else get this? I have been hitting babesia and candida the hardest. I haven't really switched any medicines. Just starting taking more malarone and nystatin lately. Called my LLMD to see if maybe I was deficient in vitamins as I have been taking activated charcoal. As soon as I put lotion on my body just sucks it up haha. My nose burns inside at times which makes me think maybe candida. When I run my hands under water they turn so red around the knuckles. I'm skipping he detox bath that I take every night. I pray this is just another weird Herx and goes away soon.

which antibiotics are you taking? doxy and its relatives can cause this problem from sun exposure - just want to rule this out first.

candida can definitely cause skin issues. i used to have horribly dry hands and they are way better now that i am treating candida.

I take azithromycin,malarone and nystatin.

I added oatmeal with sunflower butter back into my diet. I'm wondering if maybe my body wasn't ready. I have been taking nystatin a lot more lately. I used to take diflucan and remember feeling like this a day after I took it. This is before I ever took the nystatin. My skin is seriously dried out but not scaley just the tight kind of dry feeling.

Like my neck and my face, my back, elbows, knees and hands all feel like they got wind burn. But they didn't. This disease seriously amazes me.

Hi Leah!-

I am sorry to hear about your new symptoms. Maybe, you are having a type of "allergic " reaction to the oatmeal due to the Candida?

I have times when the skin on the palm of my hands gets shriveled and tight. It almost feels like my tendons have shrunk. I have also felt this on the bottom of my feet.

I don't know what it's from Lyme, co-infection, Candida, or medications?

Maybe try Vaseline? I know that it can get "greasy " (so use a small amount), but when I was young, I would get very chapped hands during winter. Before I would go to sleep,I would put on some Vaseline, cover my hands with gloves, and by morning they were better.


I hope that you can get some relief soon.
