My tests came back from the MRI/MRA in relation to the headaches. I have an aneurysm in my carotid artery. Seeing a specialist for that now. Don't have the energy to drive 2 hrs. to LA to see a lyme specialist, and also, funds for out of pocket right now. Talked with a woman with lyme who had tested negative with symptoms, and she said, given my symptoms she wouldn't rule out lyme. Since I first suspected Lyme I have been making diet adjustments and adding supplements. I added Cat's Claw and within 24 hrs. had a reaction, and learned about Herxing, so, my thought is, if I am having these herx symptoms, then I most likely have a tick borne disease. Really interesting, my knees are puffy, and before the cats claw I didn't really have any aching, but after the Cat's Claw they became really hot and itchy. Sleep was out of the question two nights I was in so much misery from aching joints, itchy, pain in new places. I did a bit more reading and realized I need to sort out pacing. I had a craving for Aloe Vera Juice - never had it, but something inside really prompted me to add it to my diet and I picked up some aloe vera juice mixed with coconut water. My body was soon happy. Odd... I guess if we listen to our bodies it will tell us what we need. Ordered Horowitz's book, going to order Buhner's book. These extra Dr.'s appointments
Nutrition: No sugar, No caffiene, mostly no gluten, mostly no dairy, low sugar fruits, veggies, nuts/seeds, eggs at the moment
Supplements: Cats Claw, an anti-inflammatory herbal mix, Emergen-c, Glucosamine Chondroitin, a vitamin D, magnesium, zinc mix, B12 under the tongue, white willow (for inflammation), turmeric (for inflammation), migrarelief, ordered Japanese knotweed and am going to see what else might be good for sleep and near-lyme symptoms.
I think I am still in denial that I might have lyme. The more I read about it the more I think - no, this can't be my life, I don't want this.
But - with nutritional/supplement changes - I am feeling subtle changes.
Keeping a detailed journal, mostly, I was too pooped yesterday and took a break.
