I saw you posted on another older thread...but then saw this one.

I'm not surprised the 'typical' blood tests were negative..

I'd like to ask you to enable your email option - so members can send you names of LLMD's privately - we don't post the names on the forum - for privacy reasons. (we need to protect our LLMD's from being investigated for treating Lyme patients longer than what the IDSA calls for)

If you can find a Dr. to sign a lab req - you could get the Igenex Lyme Western Blot done and have the results ready for your first LLMD appt. The Igenex lab in California gives you the best chance of getting a positive test for Lyme Disease.
It can be any Dr. - including a chiropractor who signs the lab req.

Well, no testing is reliable...but the Igenex is the best one.
The Western Blot IgM and IgG cost approx. $210 for both.

The test relies on your body producing antibodies to the bacteria. Unfortunately when we have lyme disease...especially for a long time...our immune system is suppressed, and may not produce the antibodies needed to show a positive result.

But, it's worthwhile to have done. Although our overall test result may be negative, we will often show some activity - one or two bands showing positive, but not enough bands to have an overall positive test result.
