Hi leelee,
When you have symptoms in the proximity of your heart it is always good to play safe and exclude any major heart disease. Many can be triggered by lyme and/or coinfections. Borrelia can induce heart block (which in most cases is reversible with treatment but depending how serious it is you may require heart meds) and Bartonella can lead to heart valve damage, which unfortunately is irreversible and requires prosthetic valve implant surgery.
Having said that, these are uncommon but it is better to do an EKG and echocardiography to exclude possible heart issues. Lyme disease is usually non-fatal and most of the damage is reversible with the proper treatment. The vast majority of the very few lyme deaths that occur are due to heart failure. So that's something you should check regularly, especially when you feel stuff is not right in or around the chest.
