Good Afternoon! I am sorry to keep asking questions, but I do not have a LLMD yet and don't know who else to ask! Lol I appreciate you all so much! What a great group of people!
I rec'd my Igenix forms in the mail and my Chiro is happy to sign off on them.
My husband wants me to get the complete lyme panel which is expensive ($432.) He wants to be done with it and find out once for all if I have Lyme. And I know insurance probably won't pay for it.
So my questions are,
(1) considering the amount of expense and the frequency of false negatives, do I see a LLMD first so he or she can advise on what tests to get or just go ahead and do the testing before I see a LLMD.
(2) does anyone know that if the IGg and IGm come out with all bands negative will that indicate a no? I don't think my hubby will let me get more testing if it comes out negative. (He is really a wonderful guy, just a skeptic! We like many of you have spent thousands on finding out what is wrong, to no avail!)
Thanks in advance!
I tested as soon as I could...and had my test results to take with me to my first LLND appointment.
Treatment was started right away.
Some people choose to wait...and see what tests the LL Dr. wants done.
No positive bands - does not indicate absence of Lyme disease. When our immune system is not functioning well - due to lyme and co's, that can happen. Not enough immune response could result in no antibodies showing positive bands.
But, a LLMD should be doing a clinical diagnosis...testing positive is a backup.
