Samcats, I hope you were not offended by the moderators comments. When I read through it, I truly felt that they are on your side and just want you to make an informed decision. I did not see that they were being negative but rather very supportive of you. I hope that you see it that way as well. I know that there are times that I take things the wrong way because of the depression that Lyme can cause. Bless you, I hope that you will find answers soon, especially since you are so young. Listen to your body and research everything!!!

Samcats, I'm sorry you are having such a struggle. I will try and answer a few of your questions but we are pretty new to this. There are many here with much more knowledge.

Anyway, our son is being treated for multiple infections at once by pulsing several antibiotics at the same time which is how his LLMD does things. He is taking all orals, not through an IV. However for babesia, he is taking an anti-malerial not an antibiotic (because babesia is not a bacteria but a protozoa from what I understand). It is called malarone and he takes it with a high fat drink and the herb artemisinin twice a day. Hope this helps. There are many paths that can be followed which makes this confusing.
