I think its down to whether or not you can tolerate it. For me, im fine and it doesnt make me worse/sick. But for some people it can make you feel horrendous. Id say try not to drink but a few now and again should be okay, for occasions etc. Obviously will be better if you cut it out but at the end of the day you dont want to be miserable for the rest of your life and not have a drink even if you want one! Im 21 next week so im 100% having a drink and trying to keep that normality, just listen to your body
I am one of those people who just can't do alcohol. None whatsoever, even the tiniest bit, and my symptoms get so much worse. Before I got the infections I use to have a hollow wooden leg when it came to alcohol. It never really did anything to me even after a lot. Now I am the exact opposite. So strange. I just don't see the point for me to drink when it makes me feel so bad afterwards. It is just not worth it. I do have beer dreams now it is gone. HAHA. I think it really depends on the person. I have met a lot of fellow lymie and co's friends at clinics and some can drink no problem and some can't touch it at all. I have never heard that alcohol is canadida rocket fuel. If you are concerned about
sugar go for spirits or wine as they have less of it.
