It is the No. 4 slot on his protocol magoo2.
4. Immune remodulation (pg 215) - Unicaria tomentosa (Cat's Claw), Cordyceps mycelium (a mushroom), withania somnifera (ashwagandha), Eleutherococcus senticosus, Glycyrrhiza (licorice)
That pretty much answers this debate. There would be no reason to be on any form of an immune support if we didn't have an immune suppressing disease.
Call it whatever you want. If it makes you feel better and helps you in your path to health that's great. I believe in the power of thinking positive.
My concern with calling Lyme and co something other than a disease is that we already fight a huge uphill battle getting the CDC, the government, and most important, insurance companies to acknowledge Lyme and co as a disease that needs more than 3 weeks of abx's. Progress has been made but there is still a huge mountain to climb.
I hope that those who follow us in 5 years have a much easier road than we do. That insurance covers their treatment regardless of what options they choose. Picking a name that makes you feel better is great but it's important not to down play the seriousness of Lyme disease.Agreed, Jrpsf.
