Cant afford seeing an LLMD many times so im going for just one appointment (she doesnt take insurance obviously). 3 appointments is $1000 with no insurance.
ELISA test was negative so what should i do on my first appointment? Im 19 and suspect ive had lyme & co infections since i was a little kid, about
7 years old, i didnt even know about
lyme until about
2 years ago. Most of my symptoms are neurolyme - pressure in my head/eyes, noise sensitivity, light sensitivity, anxiety, depression, TROUBLE CONCENTRATING (huge one, i cant focus on anything), swelling of my knees, hypersomnia, fatigue, weak muscles, and the classic migratory symptoms. My knee pain and swelling comes and goes, usually comes for about
2 days every 2-3 months then dissapears, hurts so bad to even move my leg when that happens and it also happens in my wrist, Pulse skips, Dyspnea, Cardiac abnormalities , Brainfog (another huge neuro symptom i have), Tinnitus, tremors, (every symptoms under COGNITIVE FUNCTION: in the New To Lyme?.......Start here! thread), Frequent constipation, Increased appetite, weight gain, Dysequilibrium, Staggering gait, Blind spots, Blurred vision, Red and/or tearing eyes, Spots or floaters not related to migraines, Writing causes pain in hand, arm shoulder, random muscle spasms, Incontinence (while asleep as kid),Symptoms worsened by extremes of temperature (hot, cold), stress, and/or air travel.
I swear everyone thinks im a hypochondriac....i have every single one of these symptoms and more that i didnt even list. i can live with everything else but the neurosymptoms are pretty crippling. My biggest symptom is hypersomnia; i can sleep 20 hours a day and not feel rested, stay up for 4 hours then go right back to sleep for another 4 hours.
What do you guys recommend for my first appointment? Should i even bother getting the igenex test if im limited by appointments? Is there any way to get ABX without an appointment?
I was possibly bitten by a tick around the same time i was bitten by chiggers, possibly both of them bit me at the same time? Im not sure if lyme & co can be transferred via chiggers but i had bullseye rashes.
PS. I love this forum...thanks for everything you guys do here. Its crazy how little everyone knows of this disease.
