Protomyxzoa test results

So I had the testing done for Protomyxzoa Rheumatica. The pan protozoal metagenomics panel.

The test results were faxed to me by my doc. All it said was no significant sequence results. For the very high cost I would think it would be more detailed.

I'm assuming that is negative. Being treated with herbs (Abart, Ababs, Cryptoplus, BLT, sida acuta, cryptoleptis, CSA tincture, Japanese knotweed, houttuynia, amongst others) and RX (rifampin, plaquenil, zithro) for lyme, babesia, bartonella and mycoplasma. I don't know if these meds would affect the results but F labs said the test is accurate.

Low fat diet seems to help pain levels but don't know if I need to do this since I think this is negative but can't hurt to stay on it if it helps. My doc is an advocate of good fats in diet though.

Any insights from peeps that have had this test done?

Wow - you're taking a lot to treat your infections.

- Byron White, Buhner herbs and Rifampin + Zith to treat Bart.
- Byron White, Buhner for Babesia.

- all those at the same time....how are you handling all that?

I'm sorry, I don't know if those meds would affect the results of the Protmyxzoa testing.

I have no idea but glad it was a negative. That sounds like terrific news.

PeteSa - Thanks I just hope the testing is accurate. Most co infection testing isn't but F labs says this is accurate...so who knows. glad it's negative but wish I could make more progress.

Girlie - I always thought it was a lot at once but that's how my doc does it. I haven't seen huge improvements but I have seen some significant changes and then backslide and so on. I'm definitely better than I was. I've been on most of these for a long time now. Plaquenil, zithro and rifampin for about 6 to 7 months. However, I have had this for a minimum of 16 years. I was just diagnosed about a year and a half ago. Had to start with MTHFR mutations first for detox.

Herbs longer than that for most of them.....but Byron white and more of the buhner protocol were added most recently (months ago).

I herx a lot I think. I've often thought of cutting some things out. Working on cutting out the cryptoplus since I added in the buhner tinctures.

It's all so very expensive.

I also just started rifing...detox only to start.

I've often wondered if I should be on everything at once. It's really hard to tell what is doing what. Is this unusual that my doc has me on everything at once?

I have a very complex case of lyme and co's and have been very sick for a long time.

Many of us do an herbal protocol with the antibiotics...but you're doing two herbal protocols (BW and Buhners)
I'm just wondering if you need both. I think it's unusual to be doing two herbals and an antibiotic protocol together.

Maybe talk to your Dr. about it - if your Dr. had a lot of success with this...and you're not having trouble handling it...I certainly wouldn't want to advise you stop taking one.
