Now an inguinal hernia. Can Lyme's bacteria cause it?

So I was initially infected presumably in 2009 when I had a bout of aseptic meningitis and my stretch mark rashes started then as well. Diagnosed with suspicion of lymes, Bartonella, and erlichia 3 weeks ago.
However, last year in may I found a tick engourged probably for 24 hours in my right groin area with half dollar sized rash around it. Pulled out tick and rash went away never thought about it again. In August last year I was seen because lower belly felt week in that area although I had completely forgotten about the tick by than. After coming down with my recent illness in December I started having a lot of groin pain on that side and had an ultrasound done where they found a hydrocele and varicoceles now Monday I went back in to be seen as the groin pain returned with a vengeance and I left the PCP office with a diagnosed inguinal hernia.???
The first thing I thought of is, could the Lyme bacteria get in the muscles and weaken them to the point of causing a hernia?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. My PCP wants to wait until I am done being treated for current infection before refering me for surgery but says if can't take pain anymore let him know and will refer before than. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it may be a very long treatment process through llmd as I didn't want him to freak out on me. Should I try to tough itout until the end With the chance the infection could be imbedded in that area and hope to clear it or should I get it fixed now? I am not sure which patyh I should take. I am waiting to hear back from llmd on his thoughts but was curious what you guys think?
