I have been battling Hashimotos all of my life. I have been having new symptoms we can't seem to get under control. I just had two tests run for Lymes:

Lime AB Screen | This came back Equivocal at 0.92H

Western Blot [AB IGG Blot] Negative

41 KD IGG Band was Reactive

Wester Blot [AB IGM Blot] Negative

41 KD IGM Band Non-Reactive

I need some interpritation and information on a treating dr here in Texas, hopefully San Antonio. I have read the New to Lymes stuff and I just don't understand it all.

Hi SherBeau and welcome. So sorry you suspect that you have lyme and had to find us. As you go the New To Lyme.... Start Here! thread will make more and more sense.

Right now, since you are new, it is a mountain of information and tiring to read. But, it is a valuable resource of information that you will use over and over.

In order for other posters to email you referrals to a lyme literate medical doctor (LLMD) you will need to enable your email. We do not allow doctors names to be posted on this website in order to protect our doctors that are treating us. There are some states that think doctors treat us for too long. We don't want them to get in trouble because they are helping us. In order to enable your email:

Go to My Profile
Go to Edit Profile
Enter your email address
Bull’s eye the Show My Email Address
Click Submit at the bottom of the page

Now people can email you references.

Also you can email the Tick-Borne Disease Alliance at [email protected] for LLMD referrals and you can go to tbdalliance.org to learn more about these infections.


You can go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:

your AB screen was equivocal - so that is not a negative...I would consider it a weak positive.

Although bands 41 are not lyme specific...many (if not most) of us "Lymie's" do show positive on band 41.

I think it's a good move on your part to seek out a LLMD and get evaluated.

PeteZa most of the links don't work on the google lyme doctor link you are providing. The first link is bad as is the last one. It was the same with the list for California. I worked from the bottom up and most were no longer in California. The links went elsewhere so I googled the doctors.

Not trying to be a problem. Just trying to help sort out the cobwebs on the new links.

There is also a facebook Texas Lyme support group you can join. There may be people from San Antonio that can recommend dr's /www.facebook.com/groups/260106244032955/

Texas A & M is doing a Lyme research study. It may be possible to participate if funds are tight.

jrpsf, 3 out of 4 links work, so that is better than nothing. At least it gives people a place to start and maybe even it can get them a referral to someone better????

We did not compile this link. It is not any more reliable than the doctors that took a weekend course on lyme and made it into the lyme disease association website.

All are just points of reference and as was stated, we encourage people to ask questions about the doctors and their training.

PeteZa-The first one goes to Find a doctor in Alabama and the last one goes to a staff listing of a progressive medical office in Atlanta. Many of the links work-but they go to dr's or offices that are in different states or to big corporate clinics that have doctors in some states who do treat Lyme. Clicking on a link for Dr Joe Smoe in TX and getting a link that's totally different and has doctors in Georgia has got to be frustrating. I'm willing to help work out the kinks. I'm not trying to be one.
