Cowden protocol - Cat's claw?

Here's my question:
In Cowden's talk at that link, he repeatedly referenced the importance of "cat's claw."
I can see Cat's Claw in the Buhner core protocol ( http://buhnerhealinglyme.com/ ) but when I look through the Cowden support program at nutramedix ( https://www.nutramedix.com/products/cowden-support-program ) I don't see cat's claw indicated as a part of the protocol. Is it in one of the products?

(I ordered Cowden months 1 and 2 last summer, but put starting it on hold as we opted to start with antibiotics - although we are using some products for detox)

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

Oh, good - I understand now. Thanks very much. And, I just read somewhere:
"Some of the beneficial properties of Samento are attributed to the pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids(POAs)...SAMENTO does not contain the tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOAs) that are found in traditional Cat's Claw. TOAs disrupt central nervous system function and greatly inhibit the effects of the POAs."

Please be aware that the study about the purported benefits of TOA-free Cat's Claw was funded by the makers of Samento. Most importantly, the study is flawed.

Buhner explains this in detail in his new Lyme book.

Still, people do well on Samento but it's not because it's the TOA-free form of Cat's Claw.

Without a doubt, it's always best to start any herb low and slow.
