Preferably I will like to find a LLMD doctor that accepts insurance in or around San Diego. I've been struggling with my condition for many years now (since 2004), but I'm getting worse as years go by. Thanks in advance to everyone that contributes and makes this site possible.

Hi Markus, welcome to our community!
I'm sorry you've been struggling that long!!! Hopefully, seeing a LLMD will provide some answers.
Have you ever had an Igenex Lyme Western Blot test done? It costs $210 for both the IgM and IgG.
Since you are new here, it would be helpful for you to take a look at the "New to Lyme?..Start Here!" thread at the top of the page. It's full of great information - symptom lists, info on probiotics, and detoxing ideas.

In addition to recommendations from members, you can also contact the ILADS Physician Referral, here's the link:

Good luck!

Thanks Girlie for your quick response,
No, I have only had the ELISA through my regular doctor and it was negative.
At one time I tried to have the Western Blot test but my doctor refused to sign the lab order because insurance policies, he said.
I will look again into Igenex test and find a doctor outside my insurance willing to sign the lab order.
For, I far as I know, I do need a doctor's signature to have the lab take the blood samples. Right?

Yes, a Dr. has to sign the lab req.
It can be any Dr. - including a Chiropractor, or a Naturopathic Dr..
