Hi guys, about
to start on a new protocol to treat my Bart and Ehrlichia infections.
I've heard good things about
Rifabutin [brand name mycobutin] and Minocycline together. Apparently this is becoming a new standard treatment for Bartonella [and Ehrlichia?].
Does anyone know what the standard dosing is? Mycobutin has a half life of 3 days...is it still ok to take 300mg per day then, or will that build up too fast and cause bad side effects such as Neutr
openia that I read about
?
I'm assuming Minocycline 200mg per day is ok with it as well? So would a good dosing regimen be Mino 200mg per day and Mycobutin 300mg per day or every other day? Thoughts?
Also, has anyone had success personally with this combo or heard stories about
success with it? Thanks!
