One LLMD in Missouri charges $500 upfront for consult. Between his costs and the hassle of trying to find someone to go with me in case they have to take over driving-I couldn't do it.

Lets hope that someday treating Lyme & Cos. will be standard medical treatment all insurances will cover.

robby - I don't know what that means "Western Blot reflex"

But, I do not see anything indicating the WB was done. We would see something about 'bands'.
and either a response, or no response.

sometimes the results on the WB say : present if there's a response.
On the Igenex WB - it will say IND or + if there was a response.

Do you see where it says "Lyme Ab/Western Blot Reflex" Here's what Quest says about the test:
"If Lyme Disease Antibody Screen is Equivocal or Positive, Lyme Disease Antibodies (IgG, IgM), Immunoblot will be performed at an additional charge." www.questdiagnostics.com/testcenter/TestDetail.action?ntc=6646

It's still the ELISA or an IFA test.

And the thing to remember is that Lyme inhibits the immune response, which is exactly what all the tests are looking for, so if you tested when your immune function was a little low for any reason (like the stress of traveling) false negative results are much more common.

My friends I feel like a crazy man going through the internet for answers so I will ask you one more question if you allow myself. In my Test it shows <91 wouldn't this be considered negative instead of Equivocal? I think that i saw some where that to be equivocal it has to be .91 not <91. I'm a little confused. Any thoughts on my second test posted. I promise my last question of the week... i have to back off a little. Thank you!!! Sorry I'm still learning how to use all the tools here...

YES.....THE SECOND TEST IS < 59.

The first one is <0.91 is it equivocal or negative? So confusing...

It's quite possible that someone did it accidentally - unfortunately it happens from time to time. Your tests so Equivocal - not negative. Those results combined with your symptoms show that you likely do have Lyme disease and possibly other infections.

There is lots of Lyme cases in Florida and in every state in the US. Lyme is now passed by many more insects than just ticks.
