There are many who say that it is not necessary, and they have their reasons, many of which being logically sound, at least at face value.
Though, I'd urge anyone to at least consider the possibility of pulsing their herbal protocols increasing their effectiveness.
I have tried many different alternative, or rather natural, treatment methods over the past year and a half, and many of which seemed to work quite well for a time. But, in the end, all of them seemed to taper off.
Now, there are a number of reasons as to why that was the case.
I cannot say with complete confidence that it was due to X, Y, or.. maybe the fact that the infections got used to the presence of my treatment products.
I find it strange that things work well for a time, rid me symptoms and/or alleviate others, improvements are seen, and then their effects gradually lessen until they seem to stop working entirely, allowing the infections to return, or rather making their presence noticeable again.
Then, after, say, a few weeks or months have passed, I figure, let's try X product again, and then it hits me like a truck.
Again, there many possible reasons as to why that's the case. A matter of dosage, preparation, intake (absorption issues), underlying infections starting to surface as others are being eradicated, etc. I cannot think of any more at the moment, I'll admit.
But, personally, I've really been starting to consider whether or not pulsing might be something I'm in need of.
Been saying it a lot lately, but go with your gut. Feel things out.
edit: another thought is that it could depend on the people, your individual body, and how the medications are presented in your system, or, even more so, the infections themselves.
By that, I mean that, while it's all Lyme, it's all Bartonella, all Babs, all this, and all that, there are varying strains, right?
Actually, the irony, I recall reading an article a few months ago about
some researchers at Mayo Clinic coming upon a new type of Borrelia.. Borrelia Mayonii.
Who's to say that there aren't subtle or even profound difference betweens all of these strains, affecting things like treatment? Even worse, consider that there are dozens more of these undiscovered strains.
At the end of the day, all I'm saying is consider the possibility. As knowledgeable as many of the people here are, sometimes, you gotta look to yourself for the answer. What's that they say, there's no one way to treat Lyme? There can be a multitude of differences between what I need to get better and what the next guy needs.
I don't know.. I feel like this topic is a can of worms. Haha..
