Nystatin
OK - ordinarily I would just suggest people get the PURE powder "next time". But for you, you are likely going to react to all the fillers in it unless it is the powder form. So, I don't want you to pay for something you might not want to take. It's not cheap. Not sure what to tell ya.
Charcoal
When I started taking binders (I started out with charcoal) I didn't feel a lot except immediate improvement in my digestion, less distended belly/aches/cramping/fullness like I usually felt after eating and I became more regular. Even as I have cycled though other types of binders, I ALWAYS feel better on a binder. Until I started lyme & co, I only used them for bi-annual cleanses, if at all.
But one major effect is that I get very emotional - I read that your body holds emotional memories in your cells, and who the toxins are removed, it is typical to have a surge of memories... As absurd as this sounds, I'm always flooded with the most inane, bizarre, irrelevant, distant memories. And some aren't good.
So, this cemented the gut-brain connection, for me. But of course they've now proved that with the studies that found blood vessels directly connecting both.
I don't know how much the tiny dose will stay in your system but usually, the digestive process is still in control so however long it takes you to digest a meal is your likely timeframe. Again, as long as I drink a lot of water, binders almost always help make me regular. Not drinking enough will surely make you constipated and that's the last thing you want.

There's no way around it? A binder has to be taken?
Well, for me, absolutely. I think for most people - certainly anyone with digestive issues. I think it's a very important way to detox since the one thing we all do--and have been doing for our entire lives is eating food. And it's how most of us take medications and supplements. And it's where 70% of our immune system hangs out.
For you - you absolutely have to find a way to detox. And you gotta start somewhere. No one is going to be able to tell you how it's going to affect you but we both know what happens if you stay toxic.

Ive been noticing the last 8-10 days the pressure on front of head and temples has been worse. I probably asked already, but it feels like something is released I get slight clearing of my eyes and burning smell out of my nose a few seconds. Right after it goes back to swelling and pain but sometimes it clears some of my head and pressure for a bit. I cant figure out why. Did you guys experience that and is that common with lyme?
I would talk with your MD about
this pretty soon, especially if it continues. He/she will likely want to be extra cautious and order an MRI.
