Do a search on this forum. There have been many posts by former members sharing their journeys and how they healed.

In fact, if anyone would like to take on a little project and compile some of these stories - that would make a great addition to the "New to Lyme?" thread...

People do get better! The statistics aren't good though.

There is no cookie cutter answer to Lyme and co, so you will have to find the doctor and the protocol to match what you need.

For me, I realized I didn't get sick and contract an infection because I was healthy, my body's immune system let the bacteria in because it wasn't functioning.
So I knew it would take more than antimicrobials to actually reach 100% permanently. Antimicrobials can kill bacteria for your innuendo system, but there are none that can wipe out every bad bacteria for your body. The immune system is what will win the war.

You will win this, and have a good story when it's over!

Having been here, on this forum, I can attest that many do just that - walk away without posting any success story. And it doesn't happen just on this forum, it happens on them all. Just because people don't post how they healed surely doesn't mean they didn't. Did some leave the forum before they ever healed? Of course, that happens often as well, but that surely doesn't mean that everyone that drops off never healed.

When I first became a Mod here, I actually would email those that had an email listed that had posted for months or years on the forums and then just dropped off, and asked them to return and post their healing story. Guess what I was told? Most of them said they just wanted to forget they had ever had Lyme and had no desire to stick around and answer questions from those that were still in treatment. They had their fill of Lyme in their life.

Can't say I blame them, this is often one of the worst things a person goes through. But to assume that just because they didn't post a success story means they didn't heal is completely wrong as well.

Robby Vieira, I used to drive 5- 6 hours one way to see my LLMD, but now that he's passed away, there's not one within a 10 hour one way drive for me - so find ways to keep that smile!! Go get the help that you need, and just be sure to leave your success story for others to read before you leave us!
