I think the more accurate description is that candida and heavy metals can bind to ea other...
It is not true that you have to get rid of both to get rid of one. Our bodies naturally have yeast in them--we're looking to rebalance the yeast/fungus with all the other microbes in a happy little micro biome.
You need to start with your dominant issue - is it yeast/fungal overgrowth or heavy metals?
- You can reduce yeast/fungal overload significantly by implementing a proper diet and introducing antifungals. In order to fully rebalance 100% you may also need to reduce heavy metals.
- The reverse could also be true - you may need to chelate (CAREFULLY) to address heavy metal load, which will also likely reduce Y/F overgrowth--but to fully eliminate the remaining heavy metals, you may need to also address Y/F overgrowth.
Unless your heavy metal issue is clearly dominant, I strongly encourage people to wait to chelate (leach heavy metals from body tissues) until you are less overwhelmed with infection, your immune system is stronger, your detox pathways are clear and functioning... If you chelate without effective removal of the metals, they will get reabsorbed, which could bring on more serious complications than just leaving the hvy mtls where they are in the first place.
Hope this helps!
