I saw a Neurologist yesterday in Boston. His specialty is Autonomic Nervous System disorders. A number of years ago he realized that a number of his patients had Lyme disease. He began to investigate further and realized that the vast majority of his patients had either Lyme or type 1 Diabetes. That is when he began to research and learn about Lyme. He is a Harvard professor at a top Hospital. I was fit in to get me in sooner so it was a short appointment, but I was very impressed. It was wonderful to have a second MD out of 34 believe that I do in fact have Lyme.

He has ordered some tests and hopes that they will lead to some therapies that will improve my neurological symptoms. If anyone is interested in his contact information, please email me. I will keep you all posted as we move along.

That's good news. I hope he finds something that helps. My Neuro refused to consider Lyme even though I had the EM rash and did 30 days doxy a few years prior. He sent me to PT to treat my stabbing nerve pains and neuropathy, then dismissed me.

Then saw a Rheumi for the joint pain and stiffness and soon dismissed her after mis-diagnosing gout, then a rare form of Arthritis, then wanted to try steroids, and that's when I fired her.

Most all of the arthritic and neuro sx have improved to 80% healed since 6 years of ASX and herbal treatment.

Glad to hear you found a specialist open to a Lyme dx.

Ed that is wonderful news. I think more doctors are going to HAVE TO recognize lyme disease.
