Buhner says that Houttuynia should be used as a tincture, prepared of fresh material. However, I cannot find any tincture made out of fresh leaves. Does anybody know a source ?

The only source I'm aware of is Woodland Essence and their site says they are out until July 10th.

Markus try Nutramedix tinctures, hopefully you can get their products in Germany ?? I have just started Houttuynia today, ordered from a UK distributor. If you can't get them in Germany I can email you link maybe you can order from UK. Good luck !!

I can get them, but they are absolutely overpriced and I think the tincture isn't made from fresh leaves, too.

I use a lot of nutramdix tinctures and am pleased with them, think some are recommended on the Cowden protocol. It is also known as dokudami tea I believe, if you are able to get some of that. I tried on Amazon but they were sold out.

Bristol botanicals in UK deliver to Germany I believe and they have the dried herb form and concentrated dried herb form, prices seem very good too

Hi Suzee,
it's not a problem to get the dried herb, but Buhner highly recommends a tincture of fresh leaves. It wouldn't work well otherwise. I trust Buhner in this point.

Have you tried Belfast Herbs?

Good call with Belfast Herbs it does look like they sell the fresh leaved tinctures. Not sure if they ship to Germany.
If they don't you could try buying the plant itself and making the tincture. And from comments about
it - it definitely seems easy to grow ;)

It isn't a buhner recommended store, but neither is the HawaiiPharm that I get some of my tinctures from. And I am very pleased with that company.
