It's hard to find people with the lesser common rickettsia diseases, doctors just got test for them. Most likely a cost thing, considering how many infections have to be tested for already and R.Typhi is less common.
I personally tested positive for RMSF first before anything else. Lyme, babesia, and bartonella negative.
After A year of ABX and my RMSF titers started coming back normal, negative, I looked for more information on other Rickettsia bacteria.
I couldn't find a great deal of information. There is some in Horowitz's book. The treatment for the other rickettsia infections is the same as Rocky Mountain spotted fever as far as ABX treatment goes.
My ND suggested I be tested for Q fever, when I asked my DO for the test she said I would have to go to an infectious disease doctor for that. This could also be the case for other Rickettsia...
