mibella -
Stress is a tough one when your body is messed up. I've posted your same question many times in the past for new ideas.
I used to be able to have a bazillion things going on and was a weekly competitive endurance athlete on top of it.
De-stressing though meditation or just being in nature is helpful, but it doesn't work during immediate stressful situations when you cant meditate, like at work or similar times. As previously;y mentioned Holy Basil is great. I need to find the HB tea though! A Dr recommended the B vitamin Niacin for immediate calmness. The down side is the Niacin that works to calm you has a short 5 min flushed face feeling.
Valerian and Lavender work to, but make me sleepy - cant do that at work. Good before bed though. Work is difficult. So many "real jobs" are stressful with high expectations / or stressful toxic people.
I make a "to do list" so I dont have to remember it- way less mental load. But I had to learn to be "lazy" with some days if I cant do the list, which means other days (with more calm energy) I did more. Letting things pile up is stressful itself, so continuous procrastination should be avoided.
If I feel like eating a lot - I go nuts on salad. I have discovered a huge salad with everything (takes time to make it) and some grilled chicken strips on it is a very satisfying while still a very healthy meal. And I feel great the next day. It my new replacement for Pizza, which is obviously not to good for you.
Thyroid health has a lot to do with stress coping to. Just remember "in range" but on the low side of it will still result in low thyroid symptoms.
Wish acupuncture was not so expensive, I never tried it for anything due to the cost. High expenditures can cause stress to, always hated the big LLMD bill.
