Serrapeptise causing nausea and vomiting.. or something else?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows if Serrapeptise doesn't mix with either doxy, probenecid, or Alphaclav Duo?

I've been on Doxy and Serrapeptise for about a week and then introduced Alphaclav+probenecid. The first day of the protocol was fine, and the second day I got very bad nausea and vomiting. I didn't take any serrapeptise the next day and just my meds and felt fine. Decided to reintroduce serrapeptise at a lower dose today.

This morning I woke up and took 1 serrapeptise on an empty stomach, an hour later had diatomaceous earth, and then 2 hours later had breakfast after which I took doxy, alphaclav + probenecid. 15-30 min later I got nauseous and threw up again.

At first I thought it was a herx, but now I'm thinking something doesn't mix. I can't call my doc cause it's the weekend, so if anyone has any idea it would be really helpful!

akreative, sorry that I don't have any first hand information for you. Hopefully someone will be familiar with this. I wonder if it had to do with taking it on an empty stomach.

I looked Serrapeptase up for side affects and interactions and couldn't find anything.

I hope it gets better for you.

Thanks Denikeef, I've been googling it as well and can't seem to find anything either.. I don't really get it, especially since the time period between when I take Serrapeptise and my abx is pretty long, but that seems to be the only connection.. hopefully someone knows, otherwise I'll just have to wait till monday to consult with the doc

When I did serrapeptase I did mine in the middle of the night.

I put a pill by my bed and when I had to get up to go the bathroom, I took it then. It was the only time I had a truly empty stomach.

I don't know about taking it and then an hour later taking the DE.

When something is to be taken on a empty stomach it is at least 2 hours.

But I only took this for a week and quit. I just didn't feel it was for me.

I read somewhere that it was recommended to take Serrapeptase on an empty stomach to break up the mucous membranes in the stomach, etc and then an hour later diatomaceous earth to sweep it out all out. Didn't have any issues with the combination of the two, just the addition of abx that seemed to have a reaction a few hours later.. I think it will just have to be something I speak to my doc about, hopefully he can shed some light on it

Probably just the Doxy making you sick. My stomach couldn't handle it at all. Felt like swallowing pure acid and it just wanted to come back up every time.

AKReactive - I would be careful with GSE as most of the brands sold are highly processed with chemicals and benzene being one of them ( you don not want added estrogenic effect on your body). I took it many years ago and never felt good on it - would get AWFUl stomach pains and the more research I did on it back then, the more it turned me off, so I stopped it right away.
