Anyone been to Dr.S.P in Connecticut?

I've heard he's really good because of the oral protocols he uses. Can anyone share their experiences with him and more importantly, the antibiotic protocol he put you on?

Actually, he's in Wilton. Had my first appt. with him yesterday. Incredibly thorough. it lasted 2 1/2 hours.

Hey, dbwilco, sure. I want to be extremely careful and respectful here, because he made it clear that every patient is different and every protocol is tailored.

He did start me on an antibiotic protocol that I'll follow for the next six weeks. It's a modification of what I've been on for a month with another CT LLMD. I have a major book due to my publisher at the beginning of Sept., and neither he nor I wanted to throw a wrench into the system with a completely new protocol that could cause herxing, etc. So he swapped out one antibiotic: 1500 mg Tetra instead of 400 Doxy.

Also, he's very big on pulsing. It will be a two-week-on/two-weeks-off schedule (but that will start Sept. 5th, after I've turned in my book). So...that means a month's worth of antibiotics will last two months.

The follow-ups are expensive, but I have faith in him. I've watched so many of his videos and read a lot of his work. Symptoms that others had waved off (like burning sensations on the skin around major joints), he acknowledged as true and important. The history he took was extremely, extremely detailed. I'm sure they told (or will tell you) to send in all your medical records prior to your visit. This isn't just talk or for archives. I was shocked to see that he had read them and was pointing out markers, facts, and connections that others had overlooked.

So glad to hear you're all seeing him - but he's well known nationwide as a Lyme specialists - has testified to Congress, spoken openly about Lyme and the controversy very publicly and has written a fantastic critique of the IDSA Guidelines. So I don't think it is necessary to mask his name. He's on par with Horowitz and Burrascano in terms of recognition.

I have seen dr S in Bridgeport. I thought He was pretty good. Let me know what you think after seeing him.
