New Symptoms

Did you recently add in a new herb? I would suspect that.

I am NEVER a fan of pushing through a herx. I believe it is telling you to do something.

I also don't think I ever got a herx. I got symptoms roving and changing, but never really a herx. I was very gentle on taking my herbs, if there was the slightest reaction, I went down.

And as I said, when I got really sick, I quit the major herbs.

I also do not think that it is a bad idea to give yourself a break. I thought "oh my gosh starting all over???" But I did not have to start all over. I took a wee bit less when I resumed after a couple of days off, and I was fine. It was just a way to give my body a chance to catch up with the herbs I was doing.

As I have said over and over, I did not do anything conventional. I relied heavily on my body telling me what to do. My advice says listen to your body and learn to read it.

Right now it seems yours is saying "wait up!"

Hydrate like crazy with this heat too. I know peeing every hour is a pain, but you want to keep the pool water very clean.

The vertigo like symptom for me was a Babs symptom. When I just treated Babs that symptom was back to the forefront. You've peeled away a layer and these symptoms are now apparent. Add in a herb or too for Babesia.

Congrats on the improvements but sorry to hear about all the new symptoms! It sure sounds like you are herxing.

I agree with everything that's been said already.

There were many times I backed down on herb doses *and* increased detox until a herx subsided.

Japanese Knotweed is my best friend and I've taken as much as 2 tsp 3x daily when I needed extra help.

Cryptolepis is a good start for Babs.....followed by Sida Acuta and then Alchornea Cordiflora.

Certain support herbs come to mind (if you're not taking them already).

If you're not already taking Red Root, I highly suggest it because you'll need to clear all the red blood cell debris that is created when the Babesia parasites die.

Hawthorne is great for general heart health....the longer one takes it, the more the heart is strengthened. I've had PAC's for years before Lyme and they are pretty much non-existent now.

Another consideration is Kudzu to clear brain fog.

Ha. Denikeef we could be twins right now. I am having the exact same symptoms and they just started within the last week. It's not all day, but they occur. My dizziness was long gone and low and behold bam it's back. The palps and higher heart rate are back. I know you and I have been titrating up on our Buhner herbs. I think it's everything that's already been said. But what I really think is that we have pealed back another layer. Now I know for me, I'm hitting some things I wasn't before. For one, I've started taking Takuna (Cowden) for EBV and HHV6, but it also hits other things. It is powerful. Wow oh wow. I started last Friday, 1 drop a day. I just started 2 drops a day today. I also started Alchornea. I'm doing 4 drops a day of that. But I really do think that we are just getting to the point where more things are being exposed. As you know, JK and I have never gotten along. Love Red Root and Hawthorne. I've just ordered some Chinese skullcap even though that's in my Neuroflam, but it is very good for the brain. I'm so glad I tolerate crypto and houtt. Just moved up to 10 drops of the houtt, 3x a day. Still at 9 drops, 3x a day for the crpyto. As you know I titrate up very slowly because I am sensitive.

I have the kudzu and may add that back in. Stephania has to sit awhile too.

I'm also ordering a mat to help things along as well. Last week I was in Traveler's words, detoxing like a mad woman. I have never had to dry brush 3 times a day. Plus of course lemon water, turmeric/curcumin, Pinella, burbur. Cannot for the life of me do the activated charcoal, it makes me nauseous.

My heart scared the you know what out of me. I bought a fitbit HR so that I could get a "true" read on what was happening when the palpitations were happening. What I found really surprised me. When I was feeling the palpitations my pulse was actually dropping to what was a healthy pre lyme level.

I'm much farther in my treatment journey than you are. The times that my heart issues were the worst was when I treated Bart the heaviest. It's also almost completely eliminated the disease from my heart.

I saw a Cardiologist who confirmed that I did in fact have irregularities but they were from the disease. The monitor I wore showed that I was having PAC's and PVC's. Our heart has a pacemaker and it was sending off some extra signals which is what caused the palpitations. If you are concerned get your heart checked for muscle damage. Once you know that it's ok you'll know it's the disease and continued treatment will correct the issue.

Thank you all! My hubby has been so worried about my heart so he wanted me to see what you guys thought! He is afraid that all the herbs I have been taking may be building up and resulting in harm to my heart and brain.

His concern is quite understandable and it certainly wouldn't hurt for you to get a cardiac workup to play things safe....EKG, echo, maybe a Holter Monitor and/or maybe a stress test.

Of course, a Lyme-friendly cardiologist would be optimal but I think you could get the answers you need from a "regular" cardiologist.
