Child's symptoms - does this sound like a herx?

My 9yo daughter recently started an herbals-only protocol for Borrelia, Babesia and Bartonella. She is taking the Quintessence formula as well as cryptolepis and houttuynia .

A few days after starting the protocol she started developing canker sores in her mouth.

This was interesting to me as I have suffered bout after bout of mouth ulcers since I started undergoing treatment for Lyme and co using abx several months ago.

The other thing that happened with my daughter is that after sleeping solidly for 10 hours one night over the weekend, she went back to bed in the middle of the next day and slept for another 4 hours. She *never* sleeps during the day -- hasn't since she was a toddler.

Does this sound like a herx to anyone? It just doesn't quite jibe with the symptoms I normally associate with a herx.

I kind of hope it *is* a herx (weird as that may sound) as it would lend further support to our working diagnosis, which as yet has not been confirmed by any labs. Daughter has been dealing with multiple health issues from birth. We suspect she contracted Lyme from me in utero.

When I was first diagnosed I would sleep 10 hours at night and then take 2 or 3 naps during the day and then still sleep 10 hours at night. I was in my pajamas for days. I think sleeping is good. I know I heal when I sleep. My body isn't trying to do anything else but heal.

I would not worry. Also she is growing into teen hood and boy can teens sleep!!!
