I am posting this because one I think it's informative and I think it gives a great glimpse into our health. For those that have had a Chinese practitioner you most likely are familiar with them checking your tongue. Chinese medicine is deeply grounded in using your tongue to evaluate your health. Personally for me I've been dealing with a paler color tongue for awhile now. Each time I looked for information, it always pretty much stated, anemia of some sort. Well, to my knowledge my b-12 and iron levels are fine. Anyway, today another poster asked about
Candida and it prompted me to search again. Below is an excerpt from the web article that FINALLY points me in the right direction. I also attached a diagram of the organs as it relates to the tongue. I know that CFS is a catch all, but it does correlate to low energy. So here is the thing I've been working my herbs, etc., and my tongue is FINALLY returning to a more pinkish color.

When the color becomes deeper -- going from pale to scarlet to purple -- it means that there is increasing heat in the body. Heat may mean inflammation, infection, or hyperactivity of the organ network. When the tongue's color becomes lighter -- from pink to pale to paper white -- it indicates cold, which can mean anemia, pathogenic cold factor, or low energy and function of the corresponding organ network. I treat patients with low immune system function, sometimes due to chemotherapy or chronic fatigue syndrome, and many of them exhibit a pale tongue indicating low energy.
