Looking for LLMD in the Harrisburg PA area

I am looking for a llmd doc and hopefully a ILADS trained doc, and even better if they take insurance.

I have had 2 negative tests 1 Western Blot and 1 ELISA
I have also had Colonoscopy, ct scan of abdomen, mri of brain, abdominal ultrasound, all of which show nothing.
I have had tons of blood work - which show elevated platelets, low vit d, low vit b. also some protein and blood in urine.
Going on for about a year and I am thinking that I have lyme and need to get a better doc than my current one - who tells me it's mental - how elevated platelets can be mental is beyond me.

I did request docs from the Lyme Disease Association - but have not heard back yet.

I did find a Dr. T. S. in Shippensburg - is anyone familiar with him?

For information on finding an ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) trained Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.

You can email the Tick-Borne Disease Alliance at [email protected] for LLMD referrals and you can go to tbdalliance.org to learn more about these infections.

You can go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:

What lab were your negative results from?

If you do retest - I suggest Igenex Lab in California. They are the best for Lyme testing.

You can get the Lyme WB Igm and IgG for $210.

I will use Igenex maybe I can just get my PC doc to send them in.
test 188 and 189?

Will those tests be positive if I have had lyme for a long period of time? 2 years?

Not necessarily. There are forum members who have been sick a very long time and for many years who never tested positive, but their doctors are treating them based on symptoms or they are self treating through herb protocols, etc.

And I'm glad you've found good information on the site.

Not necessarily - although Igenex is better than the others...there are still a lot of false negatives.

But, even if it's overall negative, there may be some indications - you may have + or IND on lyme specific bands...which is significant.

Also, you can order the test kit from Igenex...and then take the lab req to your Dr. and sweet talk him into signing...lol.
