Well I'm going to spare you all a picture, but I woke up with a tick-sized (cruel comparison i know) blood spot on my johnson. It's just a red dot on the skin surface. It doesn't rub off. It's not a rash. It's not a blister. And no, I was not aggressively enjoying myself either. Well, not consciously at least.... about a month ago I had a blue lump that looked like a small hematoma between my eyebrows. It receded pretty quickly but the blue color never fully went away. I have babesia, mycoplasma, ehrlichia, and suspected lyme. Just wondering if anyone has had this sort of thing happen? If there is any prime suspect? I'm particularly just curious if it indicates an infection that I have not listed. I sometimes feel i might have bartonella but i don't know. It just feels like I'm missing one of my major infections. I have two types of herxes really. One that gets my carditis, myalgia, arthritis, and meningitis(?)(berberine) and one that hits my peripheral sensory neuropathy (cryptolepis). The sensory neuropathy came on a month after all the other symptoms and they do not coincide whatsoever. I have relapses and herxes in one or the other, not both. But I have virtually none of the prominent distinguishing symptoms of babs, myco, and ehrlichia besides some very mild air hunger so I'm not sure what to think about that one.

The blood spots kind of freak me out a little. I cant have little aches and pains and not feel like i'm bleeding out on the inside. That's probably irrational and I'm not really sure what my question is here. But thoughts? Let's assume it's not lyme, does this sound familiar?

I had a weird thing happen to my skin. I got bit by a mosquito on my upper thigh. It itched like crazy. It stayed a bump for a long time and now here it is almost a month later and I still can see where that mosquito bit me. It is not as red and angry, but almost a bluish tinge.

I think all of our parts are affected by lyme in one way or another. And I think many have no explanations.

That's strange. My girlfriend got bitten on the bottom by a tick over a year ago and still has a bump from it (and somehow i'm the one with lyme). Mines nothing like that, just blood colored skin right over a big vein (i apologize for the imagery lol). Yeah I know finding explanations can be difficult. Just wasn't sure if any particularly infection was associated with blood leakage like that. And still wondering about that neuropathy. They might not be related, those are just my current mystery symptoms.

I think you said it well when you said "mystery symptoms." Honest to goodness I had so many of those. I just finally got to the point where I just shook my head and let it go.

The most annoying was the bruised arm. It felt like someone slugged me in the arm. Just there one day and gone in a couple of hours. Bafflement!

This is why a journal is such a good idea. Because you want to know when these symptoms reappear, if any thing was consistent with them appearing and how long did they last and what did you do that was different. Some I could relate to the barometer, some to the moon, some to meds and many still classified as "mystery symptoms."

You may know that healthy people are walking around with asymptomatic Babesia and Bartonella infections. Even the CDC acknowledges this on their website:

"Although many people who are infected with Babesia do not have symptoms, for those who do effective treatment is available."

"Most cases of cat scratch disease (CSD) resolve without treatment", although some patients may develop complications from disseminated disease.

Cat scratch disease is the henselae strain of Bartonella which is a common coinfection to Lyme. Actually, researchers and savvy doctors are now saying that Bartonella is so prevalent that Lyme should be considered the coinfection.

If healthy people can have no symptoms of Babesia or Bartonella and still be infected, it's entirely possible that those of us dealing with any of these infections could also be infected with Babesia and/or Bartonella....and not necessarily have any symptoms...or have mild symptoms...or just one symptom (mild or not)

I have a few of those traveler, this one is quite a bit bigger and not a capillary. Maybe they're just part of the same thing though. Just strange because my bab symptoms are pretty minimal.

PeteZa - that is strange indeed. And yeah i've tried to keep a journal but my life is so uneventful i get bored and forget. Very few things change in my day to day life though i did reintroduce corn. Haven't noticed any other off the wall symptom changes from it though.

Hi Psilo!-

I have cherry angiomas. I have 2 that are about the size that you describe. One of them is by my right breast. The other one is on my left side, on top of where my ribs are.

The one that is by my breast is raised just a very tiny bit. The one on my left side is flat.

I also have several very tiny red pin prick looking marks.

I don't know if it is from Babesia, or Bartonella? Or maybe neither?

They don't hurt, itch , or bleed. They are just there, and have been for some time now.

They do look just like bright red blood in the skin.

I know that it is scary when new things show up. If it starts to bleed, changes shapes, or is bothersome, please don't hesitate to see a doctor.

Not the junk ...i blame everything on bart ..mine had weird ring of weirdness last year ...used urine ...have you tried the houttynia (hootie) yet .....also you may wanna get your girlfriend tested if you kiss or are intamate ...mine is not all that symptomatic but i am almost sure we swap sprochettes when we kiss...

also may wanna try polysporin or coconut oil if its fungal.....i use propolis in water for everything .apitherapist talked me into doing a sting on my pubic mound ...whoa

I have the cherry angiomas in a few spots as well (breasts, etc). They do seem to form near the private areas! I wonder why that is? Thinner skin?

I also have small red dots on inside of upper arms and thighs. They are scattered and pinprick. Not like a rash. I noticed that my sister has them as well so I wonder if they are just normal.

I have tested positive for Lyme, RMSF and possible Brucella.

It looked like the pic on the link you sent LB, but none of the other cherry angiomas i found on google. In other words, not raised and it already seems to be receding.

Bluelyme - haven't tried houttynia yet. Waiting to get a new doc who can keep up with basic functional medicine stuff and blood work before treating as last time i had some pretty awful abdominal pain with herbs. As for my girlfriend, I won't have unprotected sex with her, but I'm not too worried about kissing. She's been bitten by far more ticks than I. I can see some mild petechia but otherwise she's asymptomatic for any obvious lyme things. She knows all the risks and we keep an eye out, but i'm almost certain she's got plenty of the buggers, just fending it off better than me. I don't doubt she'd test positive for some things but there's not much point in treating her at the moment. Sometimes I actually wonder if i got it from her

Oh yeah, I have a couple raised "blood spots" - the one that's bigger is on my right breast - appeared some time ago and now it is "raised" - just really strange. Always something........

Try Doing a Google search: "flat cherry angiomas"

I have seen both raised and flat cherry angiomas when searching.

Mine are pretty much flat.
